Sumter Outdoor was once a thought in the wind; a dream that lingered in the hearts of its founders. But with unwavering dedication and hard work, the business bloomed into a recognizable brand within the community. Philip and Renna Graham began their inspiring journey in the year 2012, opening EAST COAST SCOOTERS—a business dedicated to customizing golf carts for enthusiasts and casual users alike. They poured their passion and creativity into every cart, quickly gaining a loyal following. As their business flourished, so did their dreams of expanding beyond just golf carts. In the early months of 2021, after much reflection and strategic planning, they made the tough decision to close down EAST COAST SCOOTERS and opened GRAHAM SMALL ENGINE & REPAIR—a comprehensive business centered around lawn care and small engine service. This pivot marked a new chapter, and yet, their desire to keep pursuing the exciting world of golf carts had yet to fade. As their reputation for quality lawn equipment grew, we are all glad that they didn’t abandon their original vision! In the Fall of 2023, GRAHAM’S SMALL ENGINE began to expand, soon turning into SUMTER OUTDOOR EQUIPMENT! Not only did we continue our journey with lawn equipment, but we eagerly brought back golf carts to the lineup, inviting both new and returning customers to experience the joy of customized, top-of-the-line golf carts once again.
